Bryce Jowett for CSU 52 President
Read Bryce's speech from the candidates forum here!
Bryce Jowett has been a proud member of CSU 52 for over eleven years, starting at the Edmonton Public Library in 2013. He worked toward his degree at the University of Alberta School of Business, eventually graduating with a double major in Accounting and Business Law, including a focus on administrative, employment, and labour relations law. Bryce has brought those skills to two subsequent roles at EPL as well as his work with CSU 52 and community organizations. He’s managed large budgets, built solid working relationships and has become an expert in bylaws and board governance.
Bryce’s leadership style is collaborative and genuine. He is a Shop Steward, serves on the Grievance Appeal Committee, and plays a key role on the EPL Bargaining Team. As part of his contributions to the Strike Preparation Committee in the spring, he coordinated the communication platform for picket line scheduling, ensuring that members had clear and easy access to the information they’d need in the event of a work stoppage.
Bryce has spent eight years involved in the leadership of the Edmonton Adaptive Sports Association, guiding the organization through a bylaw rewrite and managing over $1 million in assets. His experience as Treasurer of his condo board further solidified his ability to balance finances with sound judgment, fairness, and attention to detail.
Bryce believes in fostering a union that brings members together, with opportunities for flexible involvement and open dialogue. He’s ready to build on CSU 52’s strengths and grow its potential as a union where everyone’s voice is heard.
It’s time for a president who understands who CSU 52 members are today and leads with integrity, transparency, and unity.

A lifelong Edmontonian, Alyson enjoys biking, hiking in the river valley, and preserving homegrown produce. She lives with her partner, two children, and their beloved cat and dog near Millcreek Ravine. When not organizing for CSU 52, you might find her enjoying a local craft beer or perfecting a new jam recipe.
Alyson’s combination of OHS expertise, leadership experience, and passion for worker advocacy make her a strong candidate for Chief Shop Steward.
